As per TheJetsblog.com via Kris Jenkins' facebook page, he has announced his retirement from the NFL today. Jenkins said on his facebook page:
"Wanted to let you know that I have loved the support and respect that you all have given me throughout my career. But it is time for the torch to be passed to the younger players. I am going to hang up the cleats! The mind is always willing to play but the body deserves the rest. Thank you for the opportunties to play in Carolina and New York."
Big Jenks you were a force to be reckoned with when you were healthy. It's too bad that no human knees can support your massiveness anymore. I met Jenks once in the stands at the meadowlands when he was sitting with his family during the Green Bay - Jets game and let me tell you, dude's leg was the exact same size as me. I'm sure we'll see Jenks on TV somewhere soon cause he's an outgoing guy. Best of luck K Jenks.
