Can you believe it? Ike Davis out for the year after a minor collision on the infield - in EARLY MAY! I totally believe it. I made a joke when it happened to my father, "hey watch he'll be out all year". I laughed but then got sad cause I knew I was probably right. Welp, low and behold, bang, out for the year. You can't make this up. My grandmother would have walked away from that baby-sized collision without a limp and this professional athlete is in a wheelchair for six months. Another bright day for the Mets!
PS - Who's got it better than professional baseball players? These guys are all like glass, they get injured if the infield isn't watered the right way or the grass is too long, and they all still get to relax and get paid with their guaranteed contracts. Godspeed Ike.
